New Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios

The new Simpson’s ride at Universal Studios, Hollywood is an awesome virtual roller coaster fun ride with your favorite Simpson family included. The new Simpson’s ride is in place of the old Back to the Future ride with the same idea as Back to the Future, but with the Simpson’s instead.
Before you even get on this awesome new ride, Universal has decorated the whole area around the ride like Springfield, even with a real working Kwik-E-Mart, and plenty of Squishies to go around. While you are waiting in line to experience this awesome new ride, surrounding you is Apu at his Kwik-E-Mart telling you his stories of the day and interacting with customers, Willie running a booth at the Fair and interacting with people, Patty and Selma harassing people as normal, Hans Moleman (little old man with the glasses) getting lost and bumping into things (as usual), Krusty on the main screen doing his show, and of course, Side Show Bob who is looking for the Simpson family and follows you into the ride (because what kind of a ride would it be with out an antagonist?).
Once it is your turn to go into the pre-boarding room, you watch the usual safety video, but of course, it is Simpson style, which makes it silly and laugh out loud funny. They tell you that all tall people must sit up front (usually it is in the back, but if you are tall you will bump your head in the back), this is kind of a bummer because it makes the shorter people who have to sit in the back have a harder time seeing what is going on (that is my only complaint about the ride). Once everyone is safely in the car, the ride begins.
Just like Back to the Future, the car lifts you up about 6-10 feet in the air and you are surrounded by gigantic screens. You start off by following the Simpsons on a roller coaster, but then Side Show Bob comes in and crashes into their car, which then makes the tracks break and all of a sudden the Simpsons and you are jumping tracks, flying through the air and dodging disaster. You really feel like you are falling and moving with the Simpsons without really going far at all, thanks to this awesome virtual ride. Towards the end of the ride, Maggie becomes radioactive and quite large, she takes down Side Show Bob and the Simpsons and you are now saved.
If you are a fan of the Simpsons, you will absolutely love this ride with all of its quirky-ness, crazy characters and live interactive feel, this is a ride you will not want to miss.
